 Workshops Equestrian Quests are unique journeys on horses into nature and into ourselves. Through how we connect onto the horse – and through what we hear, see, touch and feel from him – new experiences of ourselves emerge. In a short time period – four days or a week – consciousness shifts as though we had encountered this animal in a dream world. The work takes place on a ranch in the breathtaking area of northern New Mexico, which serves as base camp for rides into the high desert and mountains. Overnight camping with the horses is an additional option. Equestrian Quest workshops are designed for one or two participants, instead of for groups. This change has occurred in order to bring more focus to the particular needs, psychology and goals of one or two participants. Working with a couple is a good fit for what we offer, as is working individually with a participant. We make every attempt to fit the program to what an individual or couple can receive and take back with them. Among the activities are ground work with a horse, including equine therapy, riding, camping with the horses, a modified form of shamanic journeying, a vision quest, with canoeing and swimming on a hot day.
